Dense fog delays 32 trains, mercury dips further

Delhiites woke up to another chilly morning with the minimum temperature dropping further to 7 degrees Celsius and dense fog delaying around 32 trains.

"The minimum temperature this morning was 7 degrees Celsius, two notches below yesterday's 9.6 degrees Celsius," a MeT official said.

The humidity recorded at 8.30 AM was 97 per cent while the visibility was 600 metres.

According to a Northern Railway official, around 32 north-bound trains were running behind their schedule due to dense fog in the morning hours.

The weatherman has predicted a clear day ahead.

"The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 20 degrees Celsius," the official said.
 

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 22.6 degrees Celsius.
