The "Flight" star said he loves the stage and cannot wait to get back to the theatre, said The Hollywood Reporter.
"In the last 10 years, I've gone back to Broadway twice now. I'm going back next year. I did Fences two years ago and Julius Caesar... I'd go off-Broadway in a minute," he said.
And he insists he is keen to do more Shakespeare, "I did Richard Iii when I was too young. I need to revisit that. I'm too old for Hamlet now. I'd like to do King Lear."
