Deposits and disbursement of loans in co-operative banks in Kerala dipped during the post-demonetisation period, State Minister for Tourism and Cooperation Kadakampally Surendran said in the assembly today.
However, he said any drop out of customers from cooperative banks have not come to the notice of the government.
Replying during Question Hour, Surendran said said there was a drop of nearly 30 per cent in loan disbursement and deposits after demonetisation of Rs.1000 and Rs.500 notes in November last.

Government could kick start several adventure sports like International mountain bike race, Malabar river festival, Scuba diving and Paragliding, he said.
In another submission, Finance Minister T M Thomas Isacc informed the assembly that government would take steps to reconstitute coir cooperatives.
'The government would provide working capital for the cooperatives directly', he said.
Coir would be procured by cooperatives and funds for the same would be disbursed at the time of procurement itself, he said adding an amount of Rs.70 crore has been earmarked for this.
