Dept of Traing and tech education launches sanitation drive

As a part of the "Swachh Bharat Mission" announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Department of Training and Technical Education has launched a massive sanitation drive today.

The drive involved 'Shram daan' (community labour) and awareness activities in the technical education Institutions falling under the department.

The department has also appointed nodal officers who will monitor and oversee the implementation of the programme.

The department has instructed all concerned head of institutions, principals of Polytechnic and ITI's coming under it to draw the plan of activities and carry out the same in a sustained manner.

They are also directed to lead the cleanliness drive in their respective educational institutions including hostels and lay special emphasis on the cleanliness and maintenance of toilets.
 

The Department has directed to the institutes to send a daily progress report from today along with a copy of the plan and schedule of the activities for the perusal of the competent authority.

The funds lying with the institution Head under Institute Management Committee (IMC) can be utilized in the organization of the special drive.

The students would be involved to ensure clearance of bins and dhalaos, prevention of collection on open site and vacant plots, prevention of defacement of the institute.

Also toilets will be cleaned to prevent mosquitoes breeding.
