Press Trust of India Ambala (Har)
Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh today visited the regional passport office here for renewal of passport to travel abroad to promote his film "MSG-The Messenger".

He was accompanied by his family members.

A few days ago, the special CBI court at Panchkula had granted him permission to travel aboard for promotion of his film.

A large number of police officials were deployed in the passport office premises. No outsiders were allowed to enter the office till the Sirsa-based Dera chief remained there.

Later, talking to mediapersons, the Dera chief said that his film "MSG" was getting "excellent response in the country".

Notwithstanding opposition to his film from some Sikh groups, the Dera chief said that the film was "conveying the message of communal harmony."

He said that some persons had earlier been criticising the film without watching it.
