Desert Festival kick-starts in Jaisalmer

The internationally acclaimed Desert Festival kicked-off in Jaisalmer today with a procession showcasing rich tradition and culture of Rajasthan.

The festival was thrown open by Jaisalmer MLA Chhotu Singh Bhati and district collector Matadin Sharma who flagged-off the procession.

Famous folk artists coming from different parts of the country mesmerised the audience who watched the spectacular performances as the procession moved further.

A cavalcade of 48 camels of Border Security Force (BSF) was the major attraction on first day of the festival. World's eight wonder Camel Mountain Band enthralled one and all with its creations as international and domestic tourists captured the moments in their cameras.
