The evening tea was laced with desi flavor for participants at the India Economic Summit today with a 'cycle wallah' serving chai at the five-star hotel venue.

Reminiscent of desi culture, a hotel staff was serving tea in normal glasses while standing next to a bicycle. He was holding an aluminium kettle in one hand and taking glasses from a stand made of metal wire.

When asked about it, a hotel staffer said the idea is to provide a feel of the local culture to delegates.

There was also tea and coffee available in cup and saucer.

Besides, an array of Indian delicacies including 'dhokla' and 'moong dal ke halwa' were also on the menu with evening tea.

More than 700 leaders from business, government, civil society and academia from 45 countries are participating in the three-day summit organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in partnership with industry body CII.

The theme of the summit is 'Redefining Public-Private Cooperation for a New Beginning'.
