In an extension of her role to recreate new linens, fashion designer Sharbari Dutta will now infuse vocal renditions to blend aesthetics with utility.

Sharbari, who debuted as an elocutionist in 'Aami e Ananya' (I am different as I am a woman) anthology of poems on women's day, said "Having grown up in a poetically rich household frequented by literary personalities like Buddhadeb Basu and Ajit Dutta, I had probably the sense of poetry already."

To egg on the people for flaunting more and more aesthetically creative fashion wear, the celebrated stripe-check pattern buster in men's apparel would love to host a poetry-themed ramp show "Poshak Porun Aro Sundor" (turn your wardrobe more beautiful).

"Not being a hardcore romanticist, I had started designing gent's wear 22 years back, I didnot attempt a gender division in making up one, but sure there are certain typical issues a woman can more identify with," Sharbari said.

"I loved the tag lines 'Nari Moner Nana Uchharan' (the little nuggets of emotions welled within a woman's psyche) The chronicler Bristi and poet Suvo Dasgupta must have thought my voice would enrich the album's content," she said.

Besides Sharbari, ace designer Agnimitra Paul, writer Suchitra Bhattacharya, Rabindra Sangeet exponent Swagatalakkhi Dasgupta and Madhubani Chatterjee lent their voices to the mosaic of ''poem/non-poem'' brought out by Raga Music.
