One person fired at a wedding ceremony in Kashmir Gali area seriously injuring a man, police said.
The injured was rushed to the district hospital from where he was referred to Agra for treatment, they said.
In the wake of Allahabad High Court's recent order restraining arms license holders from using their weapons for celebratory firing, the Uttar Pradesh government had issued directives to strictly check this tendency.
On May two, Principal Secretary (Home) R M Srivastava had directed that tendency of exhibiting fire arms or celebratory firing during marriages, birthdays, victory processions or at public places should be checked.
Directives in this connection were issued to all District Magistrates, DIGs and SPs.
