Dev works worth Rs 8,500 cr in Barmer in last 3 yrs: Raje

Developmental works worth more than Rs 8,500 crore have taken place in Barmer which is also the top beneficiary in road construction work, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said.

Addressing a public meeting,, she said the maximum works of road constructions have been taken up in Barmer which included the construction of Bagundi-Barmer national highway 112, Barmer-Sanchor national highway, while the works for Siwana-Jalore-Sanderao road and Chawa-Phalsund-Pokaran road would soon begin.

Besides, she said works on 153 roads under Pradhan mantri Grameen Sadak Yojna (PGSY) were underway.

The Chief Minister highlighted that in the last three years, developmental works worth Rs 8,500 crore have been initiated which included 4833-KV green solar service (GSS), Grameen and Urban Gaurav Path and model schools.
 

"We want to take the state on the path of development and many works have been done in the last three years," Raje said.

Union MoS for Civil and Food Supply C R Chaudhary, state revenue minister Amraram, parliamentary secretary Laduram, MP Sonaram and other leaders were present on the occasion.
