Former prime minister and JD (S) leader H D Deve Gowda offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara near here on his birthday today.
The veteran leader, who turned 85, arrived here last night with his family members, temple sources said.
He left for Bengaluru immediately after offering prayers, they added.
The Congress-JD(S) combine are locked in a power struggle with the BJP in Karnataka.
