Jharkhand High Court today directed the state to develop tourist spots.
Observing that Jharkhand is endowed with tourist spots, including waterfalls, the division bench of Chief Justice R Banumathi and Justice S Chandrasekhar asked the government to connect tourist spots with roads and provide boats at water spots with proper security measures.
When Additional Advocate General Jaiprakash informed the court that adequate funds were given to Tourism Department for development of tourist places, the bench asked him to give a progress report in April.
The direction came on the court's own motion as it has been monitoring development of tourist places.
