Development can't take place without harmony, peace: MP

Development cannot take place in the absence of harmony and peace, Member of Parliament Madan Lal Sharma said today and cautioned people against "nefarious designs" of enemy sitting across the border, who is bent upon to divide people here for its vested interest.

"All communities should maintain harmony, brotherhood and peace which is the key to development," said Madan Lal Sharma, MP from Jammu-Poonch constituency.

He was addressing a public meeting at Kund in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district today.

"The enemy across the border is bent upon to divide the people here for their vested interest," he said.

Sharma, while elaborating the achievements of the UPA government, asked Panchayat members to link the people with development schemes.
 

He said that Food Security bill will provide subsidised ration to 75-80 per cent people of the country and no one in the country will sleep empty stomach.
