The region has been discriminated against with regard to development, government jobs to youths and opening of medical and educational institutes, the Minister said.

The CM has ignored the demand for setting up medical colleges in Rewari, Narnaul and Bhiwani, he said.

"When there can be three to four universities in Rohtak, Sonepat and Hisar, why can't Rewari (in south Haryana) have one," he said.

Even the construction work of administrative block in mini secretariat Narnaul, which could have been completed in 2007, is still under process, Yadav rued.

Yesterday, the power minister had raised the demand for a university status for the Indira Gandhi Post Graduate Regional Centre in Rewari.
