"Faster development of rural and hilly areas is state government's top priority," he said after laying the foundation stone of a tubewell in a village in Akhnoor belt in Jammu district.
Listing various developmental works undertaken by the state government in the belt, the minister said massive road connectivity was going on to accelerate economic activities in rural and far-flung areas.
Describing Akhnoor as a water scarcity zone, he said the government was making all out efforts to provide drinking water and irrigation facilities to the people.
