Child rights activist and Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi today appealed to the political parties to devote at least one full day of the upcoming Parliament session to deliberate on children's issues.

"The fight against child labour, child trafficking and child sexual abuse need higher political will," Satyarthi said here today while appealing leaders of political parties to devote a day of the Parliament session for discussion on children's issues.

He also called upon the government and citizen to celebrate Children's Day by pledging to protect the rights of children in the country.

A global 'youth for youth' campaign will be launched by him. Nobel laureates and leaders from abroad will take part in the 'Laureates and Leaders for Children Summit' on December 10-11 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, said a statement from Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation.

November 14 is celebrated as Children's Day in the country.
