West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said a development board would be formed for growth of tourism at Bakkhali, Namkhana, Fraserganj and Jharkhali in the Sunderbans.
A Rs five-crore tourism circuit is on the anvil for comprehensive development of tourism encompassing all those areas, she said at a rally here on the second day of her visit to the Sunderbans.
A plan of action would be taken up soon involving hotel associations, district administration and police to help promote tourism in these areas.

Referring to the development of Gangasagar, the venue of annual festival during Makar Sankranti, Banerjee said several schemes have been taken up to develop the area.
"We have already done away with the pilgrim tax as a first step," she said.
