Telangana Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy, who visited violence-hit agency areas of Adilabad district, has said that Maoists may try to take advantage of the situation.
In the wake of violence in Utnoor and surrounding areas in Adilabad district on Friday, Reddy toured parts of Adilabad and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts and reviewed the law and order situation there yesterday.
"Former Maoists, their front organisations may try to take advantage of the situation and may try to re-enter the areas and hence I request people to take note of this," Reddy said.

The Telangana top cop requested people to maintain restraint and help the administration to restore normalcy.
Violence rocked the agency areas of Adilabad district last Friday following clashes between Adivasis and Lambadas after Adivasis learnt that a statue of tribal legend Kumram Bheem was allegedly desecrated in Narnoor mandal.
The situation remained peaceful today, police said, though the prohibitory orders will continue.
For the past couple of months, Adivasis have been demanding that Lambadas be removed from the list of Scheduled Tribes, alleging that the latter were included in the ST list without following due procedures. Lambada leaders have rejected the allegations.
