Dhampur Sugar Mills on Thursday reported 84.64 per cent rise in June quarter consolidated net profit at Rs 58.46 crore helped by robust sales.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 31.66 crore in April-June 2018-19, the Uttar Pradesh-based company said in a regulatory filing.
Total income during the June 2019 quarter rose to Rs 949.77 crore from Rs 736.90 crore a year ago.
Expenses shot up to Rs 873.43 crore from Rs 688.19 crore in the said period.
Shares of the company rose 0.66 per cent to close at Rs 161.20 apiece on the BSE.
