Dhanuka Agritech Q4 net profit dips 2% to Rs 21.94 crore

Agro-chemical firm Dhanuka Agritech today reported 2 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 21.94 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 22.46 crore in the same quarter of 2013-14 fiscal.

Total income of the firm during January-March quarter of 2014-15 fiscal rose to Rs 153.03 crore from Rs 152.80 crore in the same quarter of previous year.

For the entire 2014-15 fiscal, the company's net profit rose to Rs 106.13 crore as compared to Rs 93.14 crore for previous fiscal, an increase of 13.95 per cent.

"Consumption of crop protection chemicals is growing at a fast pace in India too, with increasing farm-incomes and awareness among farmers.
 

"The government is also taking steps to increase irrigated cultivable area and more crop per drop," Dhanuka Agritech Chairman R G Agarwal said in a statement.

The company has more than 200 registrations. It has 30 offices and 45 warehouses across India.
