DMK had deputed a team headed by its Organising Secretary P V Kalyanasundaram to visit the three Dalit colonies that were attacked on November 7 and prepare a report.
The team after visiting various affected places in the last two days, in its report alleged that though the incident had occurred around 4 pm, police and fire attenders arrived the villages after four hours.
"Due to the negligence of the police, a huge loss has occurred," the report, said.
It said that the government announced compensation of Rs 50,000 each to the affected families was yet to reach many of them.
Even for holding a conciliatory talks between the communities, the district administration was yet to appoint a committee, the report said.
A total of 268 houses were torched, 54 vehicles destroyed, jewels and valuables looted in the violence unleashed on November 7 allegedly by the Caste Hindus after a man committed suicide over his daughter marrying a Dalit man of Natham Colony.
