"An inspector, a sub-inspector and a constable have been placed under suspension for not tackling the situation properly," DIG Salem Range Sanjay Kumar said.
He said the relief amount to those affected would be disbursed before the charge sheet is filed against those responsible for the violence.
A total of 122 persons had been arrested so far, he said.
Kumar also said that students who had lost certificates in the violence would be given duplicate certificates.
On November 7, a mob had torched 268 huts of Dalits after a man committed suicide following his daughter's marriage to a Dalit. Upset with the marriage, the girl's father had ended his life triggering the violence.
