DHFL sees 30% surge in home loan disbursement

DHFL, a housing finance company, is expecting a 30 per cent surge in home loan disbursement on yearly basis in Punjab and Chandigarh region in view of demand for affordable housing segment.

The company registered a growth rate of 71 per cent in incremental loan disbursement from Punjab and Chandigarh region during the first half of the financial Year 2015-16 in comparison to the corresponding period last year, a company release said here today.

The company's deposit portfolio from the region stands at over Rs 50.62 crore, the release said.

Over the last 10 years, DHFL has been serving LMI customers in Punjab and Chandigarh and this has helped more than 8,500 families in the region build their homes with an average ticket home loan size of below Rs 15 lakh, the release said.
 

The company is offering a promotional rate of 9.55 per cent to new customers for loans up to Rs 25 lakh and this new rate will be valid up to December 31, the release said.

DHFL registered a net profit growth of 18.14 per cent in the first half of the 2015-16 ending September 30, compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

Company's assets under management (AUM) grew by 27.31 per cent, reaching close to over Rs 63,000 crore from over Rs 50,000 crore as on September 30, 2014.
