The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Indian cricket team reached Australia today for the limited-overs series starting January 12.

Premier batsman Virat Kohli, who received the Polly Umrigar Trophy as the Cricketer of the Year in the BCCI awards that happened last night, tweeted his arrival in Australia.

"Touch Down Australia. Great place to start 2016. Absolutely love the vibe here. #PositiveVibes," Kohli wrote on his twitter handle.

It will be a crucial series for the Men in Blue as they prepare for the T20 World Cup in March-April.

India will play five ODIs and three T20 Internationals in the month-long tour.
