Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is planning a 'Honey-Moon' special train ride for couples planning to visit "The Queen of the Hills" during their honeymoon.

"You are in for a super special treat on the super special occasion of your life" Suman Pradhan, Darjeeling Station Manager, said.

Depending on the number of couples who plan to take the special train ride on the DHR, known as Toy Train, compartment or compartments will be exclusively booked for them.

This ride will be available on the Darjeeling-Kurseong stretch as the ride from Kurseong to Siliguri remains suspended after last year's landslides.

The DHR also has more plans for tourists in the coming days, he said.

With a breathtaking view of Mount Kanchenjunga, Darjeeling is a favoured destination for honeymoon trips and family holidays.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also called Toy Train, is a 2 feet narrow gauge train built between 1879 and 1881.

This miniature train has been provided Heritage status by Unesco.
