"The press has to be more credible and trustworthy to be capable of disseminating positive information, news and values to the people at large," Dhumal said at a seminar here.

The chief minister was addressing the seminar titled 'Media Initiative for a Value Based Society' organised by Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwahriya Vishwa Vidyalaya.

Dhumal spoke on the need to inculcate values in the employees -- right from reporters, editors to the owners -- of a media organisation.

In his key note speech, Professor Kamal Dixit, National Coordinator of Indore-based Society of Media Initiative for Values, urged the mediapersons to do self-introspection and self-analysis for excellence in their personal and professional life with the help of spirituality.
