Former Chief Minister P K Dhumal today claimed that BJP would record spectacular victory in coming elections to Panchayati Raj bodies in Himachal Pradesh.
"There was overwhelming response of people in the meetings of BJP leaders which was an indication that the party cadre would sweep the coming Panchayati raj elections with ease," he said while talking to reporters.
He said that the congress party had failed to fulfill its election promises made to common man in general and employees in particular.

Dhumal alleged that employees who were considered as the backbone of the state administrative machinery were being denied their due monetary benefits announced by the BJP government during its last tenure.
Dhumal said that the condition of roads in the state, especially in Shimla district was pathetic and people were finding it difficult to transport their apple crop to markets.
He lashed out at the "pseudo scholars" for returning their awards and asked them where they were "when Sikhs were tortured in New Delhi and other parts of India after the assassination of Indira Gandhi,... And Kashmiri Pandits were forced to flee from their homeland."
He hailed the decision of the central government to scrap interview for theClass III and class IV posts and asked the state government to follow the suit.
