Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today criticised P K Dhumal for his reported remark that Congress governments in the states will be "shown the way" after Narendra Modi becomes prime minister, saying the BJP leader should refrain from making such irresponsible statements.

Addressing election rallies in Mandi Parliamentary constituency, Singh said,"the state governments run as per the Constitution and Dhumal, who twice remained the chief minister of the state, should refrain from making such irresponsible statements and learn to respect Constitution."

The Congress leader said that the BJP was "boasting" about development in Gujarat but in fact Himachal Pradesh was far ahead of Gujarat in the matter of development as all villages have been electrified, provided drinking water and linked with roads.
