CPI today welcomed DG-level talks between India and Pakistan terming the discussion as a "positive" development and called upon both to hold dialogue at higher level as well to ensure peace at border.
"The discussion between India and Pakistan should continue. The DG-level talk has been a positive development. Despite all ups and downs (cancellation of NSA -level discussion last month) these talks took place.
"...Now talks should take place at higher level and both sides should work on the agenda. Dialogue is the only way forward to settle the bilateral problems," CPI national secretary D Raja told PTI on the sidelines of party's two-day national executive which got underway here today.
