Press Trust of India Jammu
The Panun Kashmir, an organisation of Kashmiri Pandits, claimed today that the fresh dialogue process initiated by the central government "will eventually promote the interests of separatism and fundamentalism" in Jammu and Kashmir.

Panun Kashmir convener Agnishekher told reporters here that previous such initiatives "turned out to be cycles of internal subversion which consolidated separatism and ensured the widening of its ambit into areas of the state where it was non-existent".

"We caution the Government of India about the relapse of the dialogue process started in the state recently into a device that will eventually promote the interests of separatism and fundamentalism in Kashmir," he said.

Panun Kashmir chairman Ajay Chrungoo said they chose to remain away from the dialogue process.

The Centre has appointed former Intelligence Bureau chief Dineshwar Sharma as its special representative to initiate and carry forward dialogue on Kashmir with all stakeholders.
