While Abdul Sattar (66) and Rukhsana Khatun (30) died, 12 other villagers were taken ill due to diarrhoea, district civil surgeon Sudhir Kumar said.
The ailing persons were admitted to hospital.
The outbreak of diarrhoea followed drinking of contaminated water by the villagers, he said.
Kumar said that a medical camp would be set up in the area soon to check health parameters of the villagers.
