While the BRO has started work to repair damages to one of the abutments of Ambuli Bridge which is connecting the district with the rest of the country, the district administration has put in all its efforts to supply essential items, official sources said here today.
PDS items stranded at various blocks were being carried to Anini through transhipments, the sources added.
Adding to the woes of the people, the total disruption of BSNL phone services has put the district to a complete halt, the sources said.
Deputy Commissioner Abu Tayeng has taken up the matter with BSNL authorities for initiating measures for early restoration of both mobile and landline services, the sources added.
