"Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke rejected the lead role in the hit erotica-romance "Fifty Shades of Grey" as she felt too much nudity in the film could have a negative impact on her career.
Clarke, 28, said she is not averse to nudity as she has been a part of mature content in the past but she thought doing "Fifty Shades of Grey" would stereotype her as an actress, reported Marie Claire.
"I really wanted to work with ('Fifty Shades' director) Sam Taylor-Johnson because she is amazing. But there is a huge amount of nudity in the film. I'll never say, 'I'm never doing nudity,' because I've already done it, but I thought I might get stuck in a pigeonhole that I would have struggled to get out of," she said.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" eventually starred Dakota Johnson (in her debut) and Jamie Dornan, in lead roles.
