'Digital Haryana Summit' in Gurugram on Sept 15

The Haryana government will organise the 'Digital Haryana Summit' on September 15 in Gurugram to dwell on the initiatives needed to align the state with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India programme, an official spokesman said.

This was informed in a meeting today held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary for Revenue Keshni Anand Arora here to review the arrangements being made for the event, he said here.

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) would be partner for this event and the 'Digital Haryana Summit' would be organised as a part of the state's Swarna Jayanti celebrations, the spokesman said.
 

"The summit is the flagship initiative of the state government that envisions to bring together industry experts, visionaries, thought leaders, heads of state, policy makers, academicians and corporate heads on a single platform," Keshni said.

It would also look at connecting the building blocks of digital governance, innovation and citizen partnership, and discuss the major changes and developments that would shape the future of a digital Haryana, she said.

The summit will be centred around governance and citizen services, mobility, smart living in cities and villages, skilling and geo-governance, sustainability, building a start-up ecosystem and entrepreneurship, and data and technology, the spokesman said.

Different sessions would be organised during the day-long summit, he said.
