Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh today demanded a CBI probe into the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam.
The scam relates to a racket which facilitated admission to medical courses in various colleges through illegal means.
Addressing a press conference, Singh said, "Right now, at least two former Chief Ministers, I and (BJP leader) Uma Bharti, are asking for a CBI probe, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan should have no hesitation in agreeing to it."

He said he called on the Chief Minister earlier in the day in this regard, seeking CBI probe, but Chouhan said that he should trust him (on deciding the right course).
The scam put in jeopardy the future of many a bright but poor students, while helping those who had the money to get admission to professional courses, he said.
