The newly-appointed team of Congress entrusted with the task of "mission-2017" in Uttar Pradesh including its chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit and UP Congress president Raj Babbar will visit Lucknow and meet people.
Dikshit, UP Congress Committee (UPCC) president Babbar and All India Congress Committee (AICC) incharge in the state Ghulam Nabi Azad will arrive here on July 17, chairman of party's communication department Satyadev Tripathi said.
They will be accompanied by chairman of the election campaign committee Sanjay Singh and president of coordination committee Pramod Tewari, Tripathi said, adding that party workers have been asked to reach Congress headquarters in large numbers to welcome the new team.
Congress had yesterday announced 78-year-old Dikshit, who has been the Chief Minister of Delhi for 15 years, as its chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming assembly polls.
