The Chief Minister feels participation of the workers in Delhi Transport Corporation management will go a long way in improving its services to a great extent.

Dikshit expressed these views at a high-level meeting organised to discuss various issues concerning DTC employees.

The meeting was attended by Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely, Chief Secretary P K Tripathi, Finance Secretary D M Spolia and representatives of the DTC employees.

The employees raised a number of demands, including introduction of a uniform pension scheme and regularisation of services of conductors and drivers who are working on contracts.

While taking a sympathetic view on the demands of employees, the government decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of Spolia to examine the issues raised by the DTC employees.

Apart from this, the Committee will also draw a road-map for participation of the employees in DTC management.
