Dilip Shanghvi's mother gifts Sun Pharma shares to his wife

Sun Pharma Managing Director Dilip Shanghvi's mother Kumud S Shanghvi, one of the promoters of Sun Pharma, has gifted nearly 31 lakh shares worth Rs 282 crore to her daughter-in-law Vibha D Shanghvi.

All of them are part of the promoter group.

Around 30.8 lakh shares of Sun Pharma were gifted by Kumud to Vibha on January 30 by way of off-market transaction, according to a regulatory filing today. Based on today's closing price of Rs 915.95 apiece on the BSE, these shares are worth over Rs 282 crore.

After gifting shares, total number of shares held by Kumud has come down from 32.8 lakh to 2 lakh or 0.01 per cent stake.
 

Meanwhile, Vibha's stake has increased to 0.43 per cent from 0.28 per cent.
