Allegedly disappointed over her CBSE class-XII marks after her answer sheets were re-evaluated, a girl student today attempted suicide.
The girl, who consumed excess medicines after she learnt that her marks had reduced following re-evaluation of her answer sheets by an order of the High Court, has survived and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here, the police said.
The girl is the second CBSE student who has tried to commit suicide. Earlier, a boy had attempted self-immolation on June 6 over alleged discrepancies in publication of CBSE results on May 28.

The CBSE regional office here had yesterday mailed the re-evaluated marks to 18 students who had earlier moved the High Court seeking re-evaluation of their answer copies.
CBSE advocate Taranand Patnaik claimed, "CBSE discharges its duty in a transparent manner and re-evaluation has again proved it as the marks of only three students out of 18 have increased."
Meanwhile, Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) chairperson Kasturi Mohapatra today served a show cause notice to CBSE on the discrepancies in results based on the petition filed by some students and parents' association.
