A 'Disaster Preparedness Marathon' was today flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Kangra, C P Verma at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) cricket stadium here.
The event organised by the sub division office in collaboration with the district disaster management authority saw the participation of hundreds of people.
"The route for female participants is Sport complex to Shahid Samarak Hospital, Kaichi Mod, Circuit House, Shahid Samarak and back.
"For males, it starts from Sports Complex, Shahid Samarak Hospital, Kainchi mod, Kotwali Bazar, Fabbara chowk, Darnu Kand Dari, ITI-Sai complex," District Public Relations officer Sachin Sagar said.
The winners will win cash prize of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000.
