Disciple arrested in priest murder case

Police have arrested a person in a three-month-old priest murder case at Chandanpur village under New Mandi police station in the district.

During investigation, police yesterday arrested Anuj Kumar, a disciple of murdered priest Tejpal, who later confessed to the crime, police claimed.

Communal tension had prevailed in the area when Tejapal was found murdered in the temple at Chandanpur on September 15, 2013.

Police had registered a case against unidentified miscreants.
