Discovery Kids to telecast animated version of Ramayan and

Discovery Kids will telecast animated versions of epics 'Ramayan' and 'Mahabharat' this Diwali season.

Starting October 19, all the animated movies are being showcased as part of Diwali celebrations campaign, a press release said today.

"We have put together a line-up of ageless mythological characters with an aim to ensure that children get introduced to Indias rich heritage on the occasion of Diwali," Head Discovery Kids, Discovery Communications India, Uttam Pal Singh said.

As part of the package - 'Ramayan' and another animation 'Hanuman Immortal 2' - will be telecast on November 19 at 11 am and at 1.30 pm respectively while another animation flick 'Pandavas' will be telecast on October 20 at 1:30 pm.
 

'Mahabharat', Indias biggest multi-starrer animation film, will be on air on October 20 at 11 am.

The voice-over in 'Mahabharat' have been given by Amitabh Bachchan (Bheeshma), Vidya Balan (Draupadi), Ajay Devgn (Arjun), Sunny Deol (Bheem), Anil Kapoor (Karna) and Jackie Shroff (Duryodhan).

'Krishna aur Kans', Indias first stereoscopic animated feature film, will be telecast by the channel on October 21.

Manoj Bajpayee, Juhi Chawla, Mukesh Khanna, Anupam Kher and Om Puri have lent their voices in this film.
