A district-level farmer leader was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a tanker in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba district, police said on Wednesday.
Jagram Tiwari, district unit president of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BJU), was returning home on Tuesday evening when his motorcycle was hit by a tanker, killing him on the spot, police said.
The tanker driver has been arrested, police said, adding that Tiwari's body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
