Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed officials to divide the works of 'Mission Bhagiratha', the state governments ambitious scheme to supply piped drinking water to all households, into two parts.
Rao, who held a meeting with ministers and officials on the ongoing works of the scheme, instructed that the works of Part One should be completed by December 31 this year, a release from his office said.
The works of Part Two should be completed in another six months, it said.
There is no other programme in the country that provides pure drinking water to 25,000 habitations, Rao said.
