DJB pipeline repair: Water supply to remain affected

Regular water supply in many localities of South Delhi will remain affected tomorrow as Delhi Jal Board is going to undertake repair work of its pipeline.

"Due to repair work in 900 mm diameter emanating from Okhla Water Works to Kalkaji Reservoir, the water supply will be affected on the night of November 15 and morning of November 16," a DJB release said.

The areas that would be affected are Okhla Phase-I, II and III, Kalkaji, Kalkaji Extension, Govindpuri, CR Park, GB Pant Polytechnic, Shyam Nagar Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Amar Colony, EPDP, East of Kailash, part of Greater Kailash, and other adjoining areas.
 

Regretting the inconvenience to the people, DJB has advised the residents of these areas to store sufficient quantity of water in advance as per their requirement.

Water tankers would be available at telephone numbers 264737320, 26449877 (Giri Nagar), 29819035, 29810350 (Jal Sadan), 29234746, 29234747 (Greater Kailash) and 23538495, 23527679, 1916 (Central Control Room), the release said.
