The Delhi Jal Board today rebutted report of North Delhi Municipal Corporation that almost 10 per cent of drinking water samples collected from areas under the civic body was found unfit for consumption.
The NDMC had yesterday said 151 water samples collected from various areas were tested jointly by the civic body and the Delhi Jal Board.
"Neither such exercise has been carried out in the presence of concerned DJB officers nor have the results claimed been shared and verified with DJB," said a senior DJB official.

The official said a joint testing of water samples was carried out by DJB and the North Municipal recently in Rohini, Pitampura and Sarswati Vihar between March 21 and April 25 and all samples were found fit for drinking.
"We wish to reiterate that water being supplied in the city by DJB through its infrastructure is potable and free of contamination," said the official.
The NDMC yesterday said testing done by the corporation's own laboratory showed that 37 out of 420 samples collected from NDMC areas were found to be unfit for consumption.
