Delhi Jal Board is all set to launch its 'm-Sewa' mobile application to enable people to generate their water bills and make online payments in a hassle free manner.

"DJB is empowering its consumers through the m-Sewa app which they can use by uploading photographs of their water meters. The app will help in generating their bills and make online payment," Delhi Water minister and chairman of DJB Kapil Mishra said today.

Speaking at a consultative pre-launch workshop on the mobile application, Mishra said that 'm-sewa' will enable the DJB consumers to generate their previous bills and receipts. Besides, it will also help in checking the water consumption graph by consumers.

"The best thing about the app is that it is very easy to use. It will end the need to stand in queues at cash collection centres and revenue offices for paying water bills," said DJB CEO Kesav Chandra.

The workshop was attended by representatives of 35 Residential Welfare Association (RWAs) whose suggestions and feedback will be used to improvise the app.
