DK activists stages demo

Dravidar Kazhagam activists today

staged a demonstration at various places across Tamil Nadu demanding 25 per cent reservation in jobs and employment for Backward class people.

They also demanded that those who had completed training in "Archakar course" be appointed as Archakas in temples.

Demonstrations were held in places including Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Sivagangai and Nagapattinam.

In Coimbatore, about 50 workers of Dravida Kazhakam (DK)

staged a demonstration pressing their demand for reservation in jobs and employment for Backward class people.

Raising slogans in support of their demand, the workers, including some women, wanted the government to immediately announce the appointment of all those who had completed training in 'archakar course'.
