DLSA holds Children's Day celebration for underprivileged kids

Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir, who is also the Patron-in-Chief of National Legal Services Authority , was the chief guest at the event.

The event saw a wide variety of skits, songs and dances performed by children from various NGOs who along with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority organised the celebrations here.

Couples also took part in a dance programme which was held at the event as a part of the foundation day programme of the Delhi Family Courts.

The event, which was inaugurated by the CJI, was also attended by other judges of the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court besides, Kiran Walia, Delhi Minister for women and Child development and Social Welfare.

 

The highlight of the show was a magic show, which was immensely enjoyed by all. Even the CJI went on-stage to be part of a magic act in which confetti was showered all around him.

Justice Kabir, who also sang with some students on the stage, expressed his wish that the celebration which is being held for the last three years, should continue to be held every year.
