DM orders deduction of CMO's one day salary

Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ministhy S today ordered deduction of one day salary of the Chief Medical Officer after he was found absent during an inspection of the district women hospital here.

According to the DM, CMO Dr Ajay Agarwal remained absent during her inspection of the hospital for around two hours despite an order from the state government asking him to remain present.

During the inspection, Ministhy said to have found many lacuna in the system in the hospital and wanted to seek clarifications from Agarwal, but as he was absent then she ordered deduction of his one day salary, officials said.
 

Besides, the DM also gave adverse entry to Emergency Medical Officer Masood Ahmed on a complaint of an NGO about him misbehaving with an 80-year-old woman Pacho Devi and denied her MLC (medico-legal case).

An enquiry was conducted against the doctor by Joint Magistrate Prem Singh Ranjan and the complaint was found to be true.

Apart from them, a sanitation worker Jagesh has been suspended while one day salary of an auxiliary nurse midwife (ANM) has also been deducted for not performing her duty, the DM added.
